Since 2001 Liepaja has joined the Blue Flag Beach Campaign organized by the European Foundation for development of the Environment, and got the Blue Flag for the first time.

In 2002 the European Council gave the Blue Flag to the beautiful sand beach of Liepaja for the second time, thus, confirming high quality of the sea water, security, first aid and good service.

Well-cared park, where you can have a rest in the shadow of the pine-trees, play tennis, golf, visit Summer Concert Hall, walk along the asphalt covered embankment and sit in the cosy park cafes, is at your disposal.
